This notice describes the current local application. It will need to be reviewed and completed before a public service is launched.
What is stored
Your name, email address, workspace name, password hash, sessions, extraction settings, results and activity history are saved in a SQLite database on the server running this Scroper installation. Passwords are hashed with scrypt and are not stored as plain text.
Connections to other services
A public website extraction requests the URLs you provide. The destination website and network services can receive the usual connection information, including the requesting IP address. Sample pages are processed by this installation without requesting external websites. No AI, email-sending, payment or analytics service is connected by this application.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. An optional language cookie remembers British English or Spanish for a year. They are used by this application. No advertising cookies are added.
Your stored data
You can export run results as CSV. On scroper.eu, data and daily database backups are stored on the Contabo server. The database is not encrypted at rest; administrators with server access may be able to read it. Automatic retention controls and account deletion are not available yet.
